THE ANCIENT MAGUS BRIDE VOL. 11 by Kore Yamazaki

Ok friends, for those who don't follow my Youtube channel, you should know that this is one of my favorite currently publishing series right now, and I tend to do deep dives on these volumes.  If you have not read any of the series, I recommend trying it out!  We started a new story arc at vol 10.  I did a deep dive on that volume in a video, which you can watch here!

SPOILER WARNING IN EFFECT!
WE ARE DIVING INTO VOLUME 11!

Volume 10 left us on a cliff hanger in regards to the church. Someone is trying to remove Simon from being the person to watch over Elias and his doings in the area. Thankfully, no one outside of the one person sent really wants that, and they are quickly taken down. What we learn at this point is that there is a faction of the church that really doesn't want anything to do with our paranormal friends, and they are slowly trying to manipulate things so that they chase off all of the paranormals. (Not that this is grossly shortened and summarized.) I am please to see the world continuing to expand as we move along.
At this same time, Chise is surrounded by mist, after feeling called to it. Who she meets in the mist is Rahab, an old mentor to Elias. They spend some time catching up, and we get some more insight into Elias, and how he is much more human now than the last time Rahab encountered him, and that Rahab believes that is all Chise's doing.
Stella is also caught up in the mist, and runs into Ashonai, and they get into a disagreement, where Stella is doing everything she can think of to make sure they know that Stella will be protecting Chise, and keeping mischief away from her.
The next thing we encounter is Chise and Elias traveling a shortened way to school, and having to make another deal, which ends up again, being very interesting. This whole series keeps me interested in each chapter.
At this point, we see Elias begin to ask more about romance, and romantic relationships, and this line of the story made me SO STINKING HAPPY!!!! He began to learn about different kinds of love, and it was amazing.  There will be some drama ahead with all of this in future I can feel, particularly with our alchemist friend and his apprentice.
Chise also tries to confront Ivey about why they are avoiding Chise. This leads to a reveal that is too precious for me to spoil for you, so I will leave things here for today.
All I can say is that I continue you love this story with each volume, and each chapter.  These characters bring my heart joy, and I love the feel and whimsy of being back in this world.
Until Volume 12, I will just have to find something else to fill the void.
